Nuisance Opossum Facts
Opossums fall under the nuisance wildlife due to their habits of living in human facilities. They are the only marsupial in North America. Being nocturnal animals they live in attics, under porches, and under house crawl spaces. Opossums will eat almost anything, but prefer vegetables.
Opossums only live 2-3 years, put are fast breeders. Typically a female will have up to 13 offspring, which she will nurse for 2-3 months.
Opossums are for the most part dossal animals. However, have 50 teeth to bite with if provoked.
The most common problems are:
- Opossums live and die in the attics. The urine and feces are biohazardous when left in a hot attic.
- Sick and rabid
- Tipping trash cans and alarming households pets
- Simply dead opossums on property, in attics, and / or in a wall
Removal Procedures
We charge $289 to come out and inspect the property. We will determine the problem critter and set traps. The $289 includes the LAST visit to pick up the traps. EVERY visit in between if necessary will be an additional $89. We will give you a repair estimate on repairing any damage and also give an estimate for any clean up, sanitizing, and deodorizing. Wildlife is unpredictable, we cannot guarantee the capture of any animal, but we have years of successful experience in nuisance wildlife. Now again its $289 to come out and start trapping, which the last visit is included, if we come back and leave a trap it will be $89 service call fee every time we return until the last time. We will give you an estimate to repair, clean up, sanitize, and deodorize.
